Flanked by the vice chairperson Ruth Ssali and committee member John Muchiri, Balaka announced that this year, they will celebrate with veteran golfer Emmanuel Basaliza, who is making 100 years and still plays golf.

We are humbled by Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) for the support towards the seniors open over the years. The seniors are the golfers who are advanced in age (55 years upwards). We shall also play with the 100-year-golfer from Fort Portal. This championship comes after we held our four regional events in the Northern, Eastern, Western and Central regions.
