S04/26 Bundibugyo Ebola Virus Disease (BUEVD) Health Measures for Entebbe International Airport
The Government of the Republic of Uganda has issued the following directives on Bundibugyo Ebola Virus Disease
(BUEVD) health measures at Entebbe International Airport effective 23rd May 2026:
- Temporary suspension of all flights to and from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to enhance outbreak
containment measures. - Any traveller who has gone through the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the last 21 days will be required to
undergo secondary screening at Entebbe International Airport and thereafter will be monitored in accordance with the
guidelines from Ministry of Health. This excludes UN and other humanitarian Cargo flights to support Ebola
response. - All airport stakeholders and travellers shall follow the following preventive measures put in place at Entebbe International
Airport:
a) Ensure hand sanitation from the facilities already provided.
b) All arriving passengers (international & domestic), crew and transit (transfer) passengers shall go through port
health screening.
c) All departing passengers shall go through Port health screening.
d) All travelers (arriving & departing) through Entebbe International Airport must prior fill a Passenger Locator Form available online at https://poes.health.go.ug/declare
