School of Defence Intelligence and Security visits Entebbe International Airport
A delegation from the School of Defence Intelligence and Security comprising of six Agencies visited Entebbe International Airport on Monday, July 27, 2026 with the objective of acquainting themselves with the security dynamics at Entebbe International Airport and also to translate what they were studying into practice. The team was received by Major Swalik Kakaire Magezi, who represented the Aviation Security Manager. The Commandant of the School, Col. Ezra Kukundakwe appreciated Uganda Civil Aviation Authority for hosting them. Maj. Kakaire made a presentation to the team which included geo-political factors influencing border security, aviation threats and transnational crimes, security zoning of Entebbe International Airport, roles of intelligence in securing borders, inter-agency border security coordination mechanisms and recommended practices in border security management.
The students and instructors of the School were also taken on a guided tour within the Airport premises by staff from Aviation Security and Public Affairs departments.
