The authorization granted by the CAA for the time table (Schedules) of airlines for the operation their operations into/out of Uganda.

Operators wishing to conduct Six (6) or more non-scheduled flights in one season (06 Month period) is required to be certificated as per the Foreign Air Operator Certification procedure similar to scheduled flights.

An Air Services agreement usually covers only scheduled international air services, but a few also regulate non – scheduled International air Services.

This is a legal Certificate the Authority issues in terms of the Air Navigation Act and regulations made there under by the Director General of Civil Aviation to a prospective applicant who meets the necessary criteria for carrying on the business of air transportation in Uganda.

    Entebbe International Airport handled 80,719 arriving and 91,271 departing passengers, a total of 171,990 international passengers, an average of 5,548 passengers per day in March, 2024.     Earlier today, Uganda CAA unveiled major developments in Uganda's aviation sector during a press conference at the VIP Press room. Mr. Bamwesigye Fred, the Authority's Director General, highlighted the completion of car parking resurfacing in March 2023 and informed the press that the ongoing construction of a new 20,000 square meter terminal building at EIA is currently at 90% completion. Additionally, Apron 1 expansion is nearly finished at 95%. The new terminal will increase capacity from 2 million to 3.5 million passengers annually, addressing the growing traffic demand. For instance, in March 2024, Entebbe International Airport handled 171,990 international passengers, averaging 5,548 daily.
