Strengthening Risk Awareness: UCAA Hosts Enterprise Risk Management Workshop
A two-day Risk Management Basics Workshop was held from April 9–10, 2026, at Imperial Golf View Hotel in Entebbe.
The workshop, held under the theme “Strengthening Risk Awareness in UCAA,” enhanced participants’ skills in adopting integrated Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) systems that are proactive, dynamic, and embedded in everyday decision-making.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Acting Director General, Ms. Olive Birungi Lumonya, explained that one of the key elements in strengthening risk governance within UCAA is the Authority’s deliberate investment in digital risk management systems.
She stated that; “As part of our commitment to modern governance and integrated risk management, the Authority has implemented the Pentana Enterprise Risk Management System, a globally recognized platform for Governance, Risk, and Compliance management.”
Participants appreciated the workshop and committed to serving as the frontline of risk awareness within UCAA by ensuring that risks are identified early, properly documented, analyzed objectively, and treated in accordance with the Authority’s risk appetite and tolerance levels.
